Implementation and Performance Management

DTU Management - Innovation Division - Research - Implementation and Performance Management Section

We support industry with advanced technology, human-machine interaction, and agile process management with a view to strategic resilience and renewal of us as leaders, employees and stakeholders.

Digitalization, advanced technologies, human-robot interaction are shaping the frontiers of strategic performance of private and public organizations. In the Implementation and Performance Management Section we study leadership skills and employee competencies together with implementation processes required for a fast-paced, forward-looking transformation.

The need for leadership is nothing new. Yet there are extraordinary demands set on making leadership strategic: uncertainties in the business environment require resilience. Innovation opportunities call for renewal. Leaders are expected - in addition to ensuring the performance of the company in a fast-changing environment - to meet an individual employee’s expectations for a supportive yet creative working environment.

The skillful design of the human-technology interaction has proven critical to distance management, knowledge-intensive work, facilities management and health care. This requires the consideration of human factors critical to the strategic performance of supporting technologies.

In our work, we contribute to the development of participatory and multi-level tools and programs for (re)designing and implementing work related and organizational level changes that improve both employee wellbeing and organizational performance in close collaboration with industry.
